Shannon R. Floyd
Shannon Floyd is a conscientious disrupter. . .a LIFE COACH. . .Seer. . .an ANSWER seeking a PROBLEM. . .author and Seeker of Truth who happens to be a PSYCHOTHERAPIST. Her natural curiosity about the story behind a “person, place or thing” has been a guiding force in helping others and organizations to identify problems, form plausible solutions, establish goals and create desired change. Shannon holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and “mastered” (Masters of Science in Social Work) the field of Social Work, and is licensed as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Shannon has spent decades in the “trenches” of juvenile justice, public secondary education, community mental health, social services, etc. developing and administering programming and services to combat gross systemic inequities. As a FIERCE advocate, Shannon actively collaborates with policy makers and powerholders to combat implicit bias, discriminatory practices and inequities in the labor market, housing and the criminal justice system. Her commitment to influencing legislation beneficial to “the least of these” is unwavering.
During your sessions, you can expect a safe environment, where your health, safety, and welfare is priority. We may laugh together, we may cry together, we may scream and shout. The goal is for you to express yourself in the most fitting way needed to move towards healing. Together, we will meet your treatment goals.
